Conditions of use

Filming and photographing in the Imperial Furniture Collection

  • Filming may only be carried out with battery-powered light or hand-held floodlights (low voltage 12 volt per lamp head, not exceeding 100 volt). Direct illumination of original materials, wallpapers and/or paintings is prohibited.
  • There is an absolute prohibition on the use of flash light for photography in the room "Prinz Eugen" and the room "Maria Theresa".
  • Filming/Photographing behind the barriers is not permitted.
  • Rooms closed by special barriers (glass doors) may be neither opened nor entered.
  • The furniture may be neither used nor moved.
  • Dramatic scenes are not permitted.
  • There is a strict prohibition on smoking and food in the entire display area.
  • All instructions issued by supervisory personnel must be complied with.
  • The production must not in any way damage the image or security of Schloß Schönbrunn Kultur- und Betriebsges.m.b.H. and Imperial Furniture Collection; in particular no security measures or devices may be shown; furthermore, we will not permit any recording which may offend public morals, or which could be interpreted as racist, extreme right-wing, or intended to incite violence.
  • In the event of a failure to observe the conditions of use set out in section IV, the Producer shall be required to pay a penalty of € 4,000.00 per infringement to SKB. SKB is entitled to claim damages in excess of this penalty.
  • Appropriate reference to the Imperial Furniture Collection as the location for filming/photographing must be made in the film, and it must at the very least be named in the credits, using at least the wording: "Filmed on location: Imperial Furniture Collection, Vienna".
