Imperial Furniture for the Sets

The Sissi films are celebrating their 50th anniversary! The ingredients that ensured their success were the Austrian actress Romy Schneider, a brilliant director and splendidly opulent sets. In order to lend these romantic films a touch of historical flair, imperial furniture from the Hofmobiliendepot was borrowed for the sets. The exhibition showcases this furniture, supplementing it with stills of scenes from the film, props and a wealth of fascinating information. A specially dedicated Sis(s)i Path through the museum will sweep you off into the romantic cinematic world of the 1950s, but also give you an authentic glimpse of the historical basis of the films.
