All locations of the SKB will remain closed for the time being
Dear Media Representatives,
as regards handling the situation concerning the Corona virus, we are orienting ourselves on the part of the SKB (Schloß Schönbrunn Kultur- u. Betriebsges.m.b.H) on the recommendation of the WHO and the instructions of the Ministry of Health and the Federal Government. Situations such as these are also taken into account in the safety concept of the SKB.
As preventive measure to contain infections through the Corona virus (Covid-19), the Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs based on the decree of the Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection has closed all locations (exhibition rooms) of the SKB (Schönbrunn Palace, Imperial Apartments/Sisi Museum/Silver Collection (Hofburg Vienna), Hofmobiliendepot ∙ Imperial Furniture Collection, also Schloss Hof Estate and Schloss Niederweiden) for guests for the time being.
We greatly regret this, but at the same time assess the decision as correct in the interests of the safety and health of all guests and staff.
We would be happy to answer any questions you may have in this regard.
